Research paper submission checklist
Research resources · Quillify Publications · 22 October 2026
Use this checklist before uploading a manuscript. Keep your own dated copy and follow the target journal's current instructions where they specify additional requirements.
1. Journal fit and publication terms
- I have read the journal's scope and checked that it accepts my article type.
- I have read the review process, publication charges and copyright terms.
- I have verified any indexing claim that matters to my institution.
- I have checked the journal's rules about prior publication and simultaneous submission.
2. Research and attribution
- The title and abstract accurately reflect the work and do not overstate findings.
- The methods, evidence and limitations support the conclusions.
- Every borrowed quotation, idea, figure and dataset has appropriate attribution.
- I have opened and verified the cited sources, including any reference suggested by a writing tool.
- Permissions, consent, ethics approval and disclosures are included where applicable.
3. Similarity review and AI assistance
- I have reviewed individual source matches rather than relying only on a percentage.
- Any required report matches the manuscript version I am submitting.
- I have recorded relevant AI assistance and followed the journal's disclosure instructions.
- I have checked that confidential material was not uploaded to an unapproved service.
4. Files and authors
- All authors have approved the final manuscript, author order and submission.
- The corresponding author's details are current.
- The manuscript, title page, tables and supplementary files follow the journal's requirements.
- Any anonymised review file removes identifying information as instructed.
- Figures remain legible and file names make versions easy to distinguish.
5. After submission
Save the confirmation and manuscript identifier. Retain the submitted files and reports together so later revisions can be traced. When responding to review, address each point with the change made and its location, or explain why a change was not made. Keep all authors informed about substantive revisions.
For Quillify-specific requirements, read Instructions for Authors and the publication process before using the submission form. To plan your submission, see choosing a journal for AI research and reading a similarity report.
